Mike was extremely professional. I'm working on a high end boutique condo, and was looking for various options for removing an acoustic (popcorn) ceiling. Mike promptly came in to examine our situation, and I had made the suggestion to see if we could scrape it down to the concrete, and Mike warned me that we may not like what we see under there, but agreed to try. Not long after he was in to scrape off a test section to see the ceiling underneath, and unfortunately during the construction of this tower they mixed glue in with the plaster, so a bare concrete ceiling would not be an achievable look. Mike suggested removing the popcorn and smoothing it out, and gave us a very fair quote to instead remove the popcorn and refinish the entire ceiling to a smooth finish, and we decided to proceed with him. It was so fast. Once we had cleared out the furniture (obviously because you don't want leveling compound everywhere, and they need room to work) Mike's team had the job done in what felt like a few days. Our ceiling looks so perfectly flat, it blows my mind. Mike was fantastic to work with, and I would let any potential customers of his march through my place to see the work he pulled off, and maybe to show off our place because it looks awesome. Mike also offered a fair price on painting, and while we aren't quite at that stage yet, I won't even be looking for quotes elsewhere; he already has that business from me.

How should I put it, I am little reluctant to share this company because they are so good and I want to keep it a secret for my next big renovation. The crew are amazing to work with and they gave me a lot of money saving advices that you would not find anywhere else. I have renovated 2 houses and dealt with a lot of contractors, they are by far the best. I hired MODE to be part of a quick turn, fairly major Reno before I moved into our townhome. Their job required removal of all popcorn ceilings (yes, that god awful stuff), which required the removal, but also repair of previous fixture holes as I moved to pot-lights to modern up the place. Everything turned out great and I didn't need to be there for them to get the job done. Like all renovations, there were a couple things they needed to come back and touch up, and they were more than cooperative in wrapping the job up right, even after I had the final payment. I was new to home ownership and doing my own Reno, so it was very helpful for them to refer a good electrician for me to work with as well.
